For well over 35 years I have given a piece of myself to every project I was involved in.

Most of my bowls and vases not only possess an outward beauty but are functional as well, thanks to the incorporation of use-specific finishes.

The vast majority of wood used in my pieces became available from the City of Calgary and area. Local arborists felling damaged, dying or unwanted trees for their clients, are reclaimed and recycled as my raw material. My use of this wood allows it to become a work of art rather than ending up in the landfill.

I take pride knowing my pieces are original, one-of-a-kind works, made from sustainable, earth-friendly material and harvest methods.

You will notice a lot of my pieces have fissures, cracks and other natural characteristics incorporated within the design. I believe as long as the wood is structurally sound, it’s all just part of the challenge I face pushing the artistic limits.

With not a tool, truck or company to my name, I walked into the office of one of the builders left high and dry by my previous employer and said, “I was the guy behind the scenes who would have built your cabinets and I can still be the guy who builds them now.
